I was less than a year old and I was filled with the love of Christ! Baptised Catholic was a blessing which I will never be able to thank my parents enough. They set the stage for the rest of my life. 23 years later, after a roller coaster of love, College degree, and some of the best friends a guy could ask for, I realized I was missing something. Todd Craig joins the cast of characters I surround myself with and one of the first things he says to me one evening at his home is: "Did you know you are filled with the Holy Spirit?" HUH?? Like most folks baptised at an early age and growing up with Sunday school, catechism, and even confirmation, I knew I was loved by God and recieved his spirit. But did I embrace it? I do now! Thank you Jesus for Todd Craig and the hundreds of other folks who have touched my heart in the most positive and negative of ways.
So all those 23 years in between I spent struggling with all sorts of addictions and desires I put before God. WOW. What a path I was heading down. My life was fine by most measures. Now I am abandoning all my stuff, all my earthly relationships for a year, and who knows beyond that! Im stoked. I must ad something that helped me get to where I am, Radical by David Platt. Read it. Beleive it. Surrender your life to Christ. I have and I am in such a wonderful place, and will be for eternity. The Holy Spirit is with me 100% of the time and I will never take him for granted.
