I’ve gotta make this quick as there’s a line of people waiting for the 4 computers we have to share. I just wanted to give you all a brief update as to some of the excitement going on right now. This will probably be the shortest blog I’ve ever written but well, deal with it, it’s probably also the most factual one.
We got new teams today. My team consists of David Hepting, Danielle Contarino, Matt Patton, Lauren Maldonado, and our amazing leader Katie West. I’ll blog more about them and the change some other time…maybe a month from now. Who knows.
We leave for Turkey in roughly 3 hours. The country is roughly 98% Muslim according to good ol Wikipedia. I surrender my safety, security, and rights to openly share my faith yet again as I cross borders for at least the 6th time this Race. I couldn’t be more excited.
I will try to update as often as I can as the Race continues but I can’t promise that’ll be often at all. Turkey is a closed country so internet access will most likely be restricted. We will find out more about restrictions when we get there but please just know that no news is good news.
Continue to pray for all of us as we press onward and choose into these new teams and this journey ahead. I love you all and am still praying for all of you!! May God’s grace, joy, and peace overwhelm you today and each day that follows!!!
