I’m going on the World Race!!! Yep you read that right. I got accepted a month ago and have been so busy with the holidays and actually processing the emotions of this incredible journey that God has asked be to be a part of that I’m just now getting a chance to write my blog. I’m so excited.
What is the world race you may ask? The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries that is run through an organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM). One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. In each country I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, and bring the hope of the Father’s love to unreached communities.
I will be going to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize, Gabon, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines. These countries are subject to change, but for now this is where I will be going in August 2017.
Through my life God has taken me on a crazy roller coaster full of ups and downs, and I’ve learned so much about myself and who I am in Him. If I could say one thing about it all, it would be this: I am so grateful for all that I’ve been through because without it I wouldn’t be where I am today. My perspective regarding life has changed. I don’t want to live a comfortable life, instead I want to live a radical one that service my Heavenly Father!
I know that this year will be physically, emotionally, and spiritually challenging. I know that God has called me here and I’m so excited for this next adventure. Excited to live out of my comfort zone and to reach the unreached. I’m excited to be his hands and feet. Thank you for reading my very first blog post. This is just the first step of an adventure that barely begun. I invite you to come along with me for this journey. I will be blogging here in the states as well as when I travel.
