Liking people is a good thing. If you’re human it means you probably have friends, as everyone should, welcome to the human race. But on a serious note, friendships are not something to be taken for granted, and I have become overwhelmingly appreciative of people in my life. Not that I hated people before, but there’s a newfound gratitude that’s been creeping into my life in the best of ways.
As Paul wrote in Philippians 1:3-6, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
I sent out my support letters a couple of months ago and was surprisingly excited to do so, but not because I was hoping people would give money really fast so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore. It actually had nothing to do with money, nor have I been worrying too much. I was simply excited to let people know what God and I are up to together and getting to ask others to join with us in the journey, whatever that looks like for them.
I’ve felt incredibly blessed by the people in my life, especially since I’ve been accepted to go on the World Race. When it comes down to it, people have been so supportive and encouraging and I get even more excited seeing other people get excited for me. I’ve come to realize how much people really do care and how much people desire to be a support and encouragement. I have a newfound appreciation and gratitude for friends and family that have walked alongside me through life at various points and I’m looking forward to continue the support raising process (prayer and monetary) because of how good the pre-support raising time was and all that I’ve already learned from it.
SO THANK YOU for journeying with me!
Love,
Crystal
Financial update: I now have $1966.60 in my support account, which is 15% of the total goal! The 1st financial deadline is at the end of September and is $3,000, so I’m pretty close to having reached that! I’ve also earned enough from making purses so far to pay for travel insurance and a few other things for the race. Thank you to everyone who has been able to sacrifice financially!
