Life can be so surreal sometimes. I was sitting in my tent last night and it hit me. It hit me how unexpected life can be. A year ago today I was in Cambodia watching kids getting baptized in an irrigation ditch, now I am sitting in a tent in Serbia. Serbia, what?
If you told me last year that this is what my life would currently look like I think I would have laughed. Yet, it is so so good. Sometimes it feels surreal that the Lord has entrusted 41 people for me to help lead. I still don’t feel adequate to be doing this, and the truth is, I alone am not adequate. I know as long as I rely on the Lord he will equip me to lead. It is all about the team work.
We have been on the field a little over two weeks now. Most of the ministries here are based around kids camps and evangelizing. It has been great being able to travel to different teams and serve along side them. Currently we are outside of Belgrade serving at a camp for kids who are in remission from cancer.
I am heading back to Belgrade on Saturday to spend time with another team, and then our first debrief starts in September. After that we are headed to Romania where the entire squad will be working together under one ministry contact.
I’ve already seen the Lord working in so many people on the squad. It is so amazing to see. I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow. They are IGNITED.
I am still $3,500 away from meeting my goal. Pray about donating, please. I am almost half way to fully funded!
