Good news friends!
We flew on Malaysian Airlines and well, they didn’t lose us, the plane, or our luggage. That is a major accomplishment for this squad of people.
I guess arriving in Malaysia ahead of time deserves some background explanation seeing as we are here a week early. We took a vote as a squad and decided that it would be a better for our squad to leave Nepal. Some of us didn’t want to go, but we knew it would benefit the squad as a whole seeing as some felt unsafe being in Nepal. We are heading to Pangkor Island tomorrow for an impromptu debrief. They are bringing counselors in for us to talk to and process through everything. I know the screams and cries I heard that day will never leave my mind.
Since April 25th Nepal has had over 120 earthquakes. Within the past seven days there have been nine ranging from 4.1 -5.7. I felt some of them, I definitely felt the 5.7, and seen it. None of them compared to the 7.4 we experienced.
I never felt afraid during any of them and I never felt un-safe being there. If anything it hurt to leave the Nepali people especially after going through such an event with them. It is heartbreaking seeing how much fear they live in and knowing that another big earthquake is being speculated.
Our next ministry begins on the 31st. My team will be in the north west portion of Malaysia and thats all I can tell you right now because the rest is a surprise for them. Keep us in your prayers, please.
P.S, my FINAL deadline is on July 1st where I need to be fully funded. I am $4,000.00 away from reaching it and I need YOUR help if you can donate.
If I don’t reach it, who knows, they might put me back on a Malaysian Airlines flight and send me home…and well, you know how well that can go. So help me get fully funded, please, please, please.
