We are going to Nepal. No, we are not going to Nepal. We ARE going to Nepal. This has been the situation the past few weeks. It is a continuation of the chaotic roller coaster that our squad has been on.

Prior to the earthquake there was no doubt that we were going to Nepal. I am pretty sure most of the squad was beyond stoked about it. The day before we were suppose to leave India the earthquake hit. I wasn’t sure what to think. Was this Gods way of keeping us out of Nepal? Did he want to re-route us to something different. I wasn’t sure what was going on.

Our squad was suppose to have de-brief in Katmandu but due to the massive earthquake we were re-routed to Hyderabad. The one question on most of our minds was what was going to happen.

Initially they told us that we were going to be staying in India another month. I figured as much when the logistic people asked for our passports. I knew that they were attempting to renew our visas.

I was content staying in India. Really I was happy to be getting another month of Indian food. The only bad thing about India to me is the heat, everything else I can deal with. Every one here is super nice and they make you feel like a celebrity…seriously (life in third world countries has been quite amusing).

Last night we were in our final meeting as our original teams because teams were changing the very next day. Our coach walked us through the R.A.F.T process during his talk. R-reconciliation, A-Affirmation, F-Farewells, and T-Think ahead. As soon as he said think ahead, he added in a comment along the lines of countries changing. All of our ears perked up.

Yep, yet again, we are back on track for Nepal. Our contact said that they really needed us there and headquarters talked it over and decided to follow Gods will and send us. We fly out Tuesday morning to Kathmandu, Nepal.

All we know is that we will be there doing relief work. If anything, I can say the past several years of my life have prepared me for this somewhat. However, I feel that the Lord has a lot in store for us over the next several months, but we know how to weather a storm. Our faith is in the Lord and we WILL persevere.

Oh yeah, teams changed today! I am on another all girls teams…and guess who the Lord decided to make the leader, even after all my comments of “I am going to have a year without responsibilities.” hahah Jokes on me, again.

P.s. Our team name is Braveheart. Please be praying for the team, the squad, and all of us new leaders.

Thank you all!!!

p.s.s. I highly doubt I will have internet for a month so know that no news is good news:)
