I could tell you that after my first day here in India that I know I will cry when it comes time to leave. The kids we work with are hard not to love. They have such big hearts.

The first night we were here we sat in on a worship secession with them. The first song they began to sing was 10,000 Reasons. My eyes automatically teared up upon hearing their voices. My heart was so happy in that moment. They kids we work with range in age from three to nineteen years old, and you can tell they all love the Lord so much.

We arrived on the first Saturday in April and recieved a day of rest. We had Palm Sunday in Bolivia. Good Friday was celebrated on a plane and bus, and Easter Sunday in Bangalore, India. Not to mention having communion about six times between all of that.

Our first full day with the kids was Easter Sunday. We attended two different church services that Sunday, but it was so refreshing going to church and hearing English. We had another worship secession Sunday night with the kids, then dinner after. After dinner our host, Morong, walked us back to our apartment (yes, I said apartment..we actually have rooms and inside bathrooms, and FANS!!!). A couple of the kids joined us on the walk back and one of the boys was holding my hand. I was asking him questions and asked if football (soccer) was his favorite sport. He looked up at me and said “No, you are my favorite.”

Tuesday through Sunday we are with the kids. We start our mornings with devotions, then breakfast, then a bible lesson. Afterwards is lunch, game time, worship, and then dinner. I really can’t imagine spending my days here any other way. I am sitting in an internet cafe on my off day and I am already missing them. I really can’t explain how full they make my heart. They are all so beautiful.

One of the boys reminds me of my nephew Caden, except an Asian version. He is so full of energy but even more full of love. Everyday we sits beside me and everyday he is a constant ray of sunshine. He calls himself my shadow which seems to be very fitting most days. When we go to leave he says “auntie Crystal, please don’t leave me.” All the kids just warm my heart.

It is awesome how the Lord can call you away from home but give you someone to remind you of home…Add the kids of Jireh Home to your prayer list, as well as the funding for Jireh Home and funding for me to stay on the mission field. I am still a few thousand away from being fully funded.

Thank you all for the prayers:) And sorry for the delay in an update…India doesnt believe in WIFI.
