This week I did something that many would probably consider stupid, bold and way to crazy. Through this process of fundraising and getting prepared for the World Race, God has been teaching me a lot about my weaknesses, where I lack faith or where I only put some of my faith in and hold on to some of it because I am don’t really trust in myself or don’t think I am worthy of people to invest in. The thing is that it also means I truely don’t Trust in what God says about me, what he has called me to. Well that time is over and I took a huge leap of Faith this week! On Tuesday I put my request off for training camp in and due to how quickly after training camp we are leaving I also turned in my notice, and the date of notice if they were unable to give me off for training camp. The devil doesn’t like when you make bold steps for the Lord, so the day after I got sick and ended up not only leaving early one day, but having to call out the next day. I also had to call out of the cave which is a ministry that I not only love being involved in but also lets me fund raise for this missions trip. I know that I might have missed making money, and fund raising opportunities but GOD gave me time to rest, work on more scarves and despite what the enemy tried to do. As I forced myself to get out of bed today to go to church and forced myself to set up a table, God started to flood me with support today! I raised more money today then I have in some of the prior months in total. I also had someone say they would buy me hiking/walking shoes, and the promise of 2 more scarves sold before next week. God wants us to fully trust Him, He wants us to step out of the boat and have blind Faith and Trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6″ Trust in the Lord with All your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight”
I highlighted All because we sometimes think we are giving it all but there is still doubt, the doubt may be in thinking you are unworthy, or well maybe I didn’t hear him right and so then we put limits on God and we stop Him from doing what He really wants to do in your life. Sometimes it takes you doing something completely crazy to say I know that I know that what you say God is true. Even if it is crazy reckless in world standards I want to Follow God where ever he leads me. I want to be on His path, I want to be used for His Glory because at the end of the day it is not about me it is all about God and bringing His Kingdom to earth and sharing His Love so that His Kingdom will become bigger.
Is there something God has called you to do, go, etc. but you don’t know how to do it? Well the first step is to Trust Him with All your Heart! The Next step is to take a Leap of Faith! well depending on what it is will depend on what that is but you will know what it is! If you are called to World Missions well the first step would be get a passport. If you are called to be a Worship leader then the first step would be join a Worship team to learn from others that have gone before you, etc.
God is Calling His people to step out of the boat more and more, and to each that will look a little different but what it takes Is complete Trust! Side note read the story of Peter walking on the Water in Matthew 14. when Jesus called Peter to Come He didn’t say Peter Come, but saying simply Come because the invitation was for all the disciples but Peter was the only on brave enough to Come, Yes He may have lost sight and faith and started to sink but He was brave enough to step out of the boat. We need to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and what He calls us to do. He is saying Come! Its time to step out of the boat!
I know I can’t do this on my own and I don’t even want to try. My trust is in the Lord, He is my provider, If you would like to Partner in What the Lord is doing on this earth please Pray and ask Him if you are to partner with Me.
