While I was a teenager God called me to go out and share the gospel in many ways. I was on a drama ministry team, helped with kids church and I started a bible study with friends in a public high school. After High School I was called to go into Master’s Commission, which is a nine month discipleship program where we did biblical studies and we helped the church with any ministry they had, helped lead youth ministries and did drama ministry. We also did an east coast tour sharing the gospel through drama ministry, helping other church programs like a house of horror house of hope, lets go to Bethlehem, etc. After Master’s God had me help my old church till it closed its doors and then He sent me to a Church called Shore Christian Fellowship, I helped with youth ministry and was on the worship team and then the church announced they were going to have a missions trip to Peru in 2007. I knew that I was meant to go, It hard to explain but my heart began to burn to share the gospel not just around where I was but around the world. It also helped me develop a passion for photography. I began to learn more in photography because I had a plan I was going to become a photographer so I could make my own schedule and go on more missions trips but for a while I ended up becoming a workaholic. I worked a full time job as a deli manager, a part time job for Life Touch Photography company and was doing side jobs. After a year and three months of working like that I realized that I was working more than sharing the Word of God and more then loving on His people so I left my part time job at Life Touch. Shortly after I left, God showed me that He was calling me to a new church one that has major focus on Reaching the Lost. He lead me to Redemption House Life Center in 2011 the help with a ministry called the Cave which is a club like atmosphere that shares the gospel and brings people from different churches together to reach the lost. The other main ministry at my church is called missions for America where they open up their homes and take in people that are homeless, recovering drug addicts, teen moms, or people who don’t have a place to go. Helping them to know what God says about them and help them to get back on their feet. I have never housed anyone but I have stayed at some of the homes for a weekend or a couple weeks for ministry purposes and been able to pray with people who were struggling with something or I listened to people that just needed someone to talk to. I love how God has always opened doors for me to share His love with His people. In 2012 my world got shaken up I went through a Job season, to give an idea I lost my full time job because someone wrote false statements against me and then got my job, two cars broke down,my bed broke while moving it, I lost fifteen people I loved dearly to death, two cameras stolen, my laptop was broken, and a whole lot more. But God Had so much planned for me and I believe it helped me to learn to not depend on myself but to rely on His provision. Then my church announced in 2013 that they were planning a trip to India and I heard God say Go, but I was worried at first how I was going to go. During a fundraiser I met a girl named Michelle and she was getting ready to leave for the world race in January. I went in March of 2014 to India for two weeks but God spoke to me and said there will not be as big of a time lapse between your missions trip. When I came home from India on my wall was a quiz do you have what it takes to go on the world race. I took it and to my surprise it said I would be perfect for it. So I began to look more into it and at the routes and praying. God highlighted route 3 to me and I continued to pray and ask God is this you or is this just me. Then there was some subtle things that showed me it was Him saying this is where I want you to go. Like someone telling me I am going to pray for you and your next trip. to someone sending me Psalm 2:8″Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” without them even knowing that I was praying about this. Then I felt in my heart God confirming it so I applied and I got in. The amazing thing is even before being excepted God started opening doors for me to talk about applying to the world race and then they said let me know because I would like to sponsor you. When I got the call that I got in I was so excited I squealed lol and got butterflies, good butterflies. In Summary I am so excited that God is helping me to follow dreams He gave me from the beginning that I thought was smaller then this. I thought I would probably get to some of my bucket list of missions trips for short terms. but I never thought I would be going to most of my bucket list in a year spending a month in each. But I was reminded that you are supposed to Dream Bigger then what you can do on your own but to Dream with God and letting Him open up the doors and just following Him.
