Written one week ago while still on the train-

So about 5 hours ago I was sitting on the bottom part of the train, I pulled out my bible to read a little and our new cabin mate Ashun was sitting beside me and I asked him if he’d ever read the bible- he said no. I asked him if he knew Jesus, he said no. So I continued to tell him about Jesus and our faith and read him some scripture and it was so awesome that God lined up the perfect opportunity for me to share my faith and the gospel while on this train. To be an example of Jesus to these people has been such a blessing. I prayed and asked God to surround our car on the train with angels to keep us protected and I know that the friends we made on the train were God’s angels.. They sat with us and really kept us protected from the beggars and stares, they also helped translate some things for us and explained a lot to us. I love to see God use everyday people.. Especially people that don’t believe or know Him, yet.. I have faith that they will experience God in an amazing way.

I feel like I am in a movie.. It is exactly how you would think it would be. Ever few minutes beggars walk up, ranging from young girls to older women to crippled men.. Think slumdog.

People selling chai all the time- which by the way is soo good, and only 5 rupees (which equals about 10 cents).. Again we are scared to eat the food so for breakfast we had a bag of popcorn, for lunch two bananas each and cookies.. Its been quite the nutritious two days but I don’t think its worth the gamble of eating the food and being sick the rest of the 20 hours we have to be on here. Continue to pray for us, this will be an intense month of ministry, the girls aren’t allowed to walk anywhere by ourselves, not even two of us.. It has to be three or more or with a guy (and now I know why it is so strict!) We also get to wear traditional Indian clothing! Pictures to come! Thanks for the continued prayers.. The next 5 months as we head from India to Nepal then 3 months in Africa are going to def be the hardest but I’m sure we will see the Kingdom of Heaven descending on these places.

Now-

We have been in Bangalore now for close to 7 days now.. And I am absolutely loving this place. The spiritual lightness of this area is unreal compared to where we were up north. God definately has his hand on this place, its great to walk around and see lots of churches and stickers praising God on cars. It is a completely different experience. The friendships I have already made being here where we are staying at the University of the Nations I know will be for a lifetime. These brothers and sisters are so amazing and are so eager to do the Lords work.. And I can’t wait for them to come visit me back home!

We have been working at a school for children of the slums, cleaning, organizing, painting and putting in floors! It looks amazing and I know the children will love the way their new school looks!

Since being in India i officially learned how to hand wash my clothes.. and we have full on bucket showers.. which are actually pretty nice.. except for the first dunk is always FREEZING! But i kinda enjoy them! 🙂 Ps squatty potty's are def getting easier and are becoming enjoyable ha. I now own an official Indian Sari, have my nose pierced (which is funny because it is way more uncommon not to have it pierced here) and now i hope to get some henna art done sometime this week. The true India Experience!.
