How many people can you fit in one taxi? Well lets see How about 11 adults and 1 baby. Don’t forget 2 guitars, 1 75 lb bag of potatoes, 3 backpacks, 2 boxes of groceries and 3 bags of groceries. Oh and you can’t forget the 2 chickens. Did I mention that it was a 5 person taxi. There are a few things I have learned since coming to Kenya, one of them being don’t befriend the chicken you hold on your lap that was given to you after a day of ministry. It will become dinner. If someone gives you a baby, your teammates will make you give it back. If you save a goat from hanging itself on the side of a cliff people will notice and it will open up ministry opportunities. Last but not least if while in Kenya someone wishes to serve you your plate you will get way more than you bargain for. The food is very good just a lot of it. Yesterday my team went to Kisumu where we met up with part of another team—-We went to Lake Victoria got a boat and went for a ride—-We saw hippos—-Then we went to eat—–I HAD PIZZA YEAH—–There was a store near where we ate that had pepsi—do know how unusual that is everything is coke—they also had shaving cream—I thought it was Christmas—–Quite a few other things as well—some of my team mates stocked up on things like peanut m&ms and just simple things like that that you can’t get over here.
