Last month I got a tattoo at our Budapest debrief. Here’s a poem I wrote to go with it!

I’m a Human:
I made a mistake yesterday and another today
before morning’s breakfast will be three more
it’s inevitable, the consequences
to walk through the flames (in regret and shame)
I walked alone.
I walked alone until I opened my eyes.
I opened my eyes in the white flame, and I saw the hand of My Redeemer
Timidly I grabbed it, and we prevailed in the fire
because from the ashes emerged a beauty clothed in strength and dignity I was never alone. .
