Our first two weeks on our “ATL” journey were quite busy.  We jumped in with both feet in the water never looking back helping in the local communities and serving the missionaries in anyway we saw fit.  We found ourselves falling in love with the people of the community.  We plugged into the youth outreaches and weekly church services, helped cook and distribute food in the surrounding areas, and sorted through massive amounts of clothing to distribute to our new friends in the slums.  We also found ourselves teaching in the local schools and sharing our stories to the congregation during Sunday morning worship.  God really blessed us during this time and showed us what it means to be true servants in the Kingdom.

Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
