I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC just south of Charlotte, NC. I have been blessed with a wonderful family that loves God and supports me 100% in serving God and chasing after my dreams. I traveled on the World Race in June 2007 and LOVED it!! God radically changed my life and my way of thinking…I will never be the same!
God has always proven himself faithful to me even in the small stuff. He is my God, my Lover, and the reason I live. I love children and old people and my heart breaks to see the conditions that most people live in, not only in foreign countries but also our own. I have had a tug on my heart to touch the nations for Christ since I was about 14 and I am determined to do everything I can to share the love of Christ with as many people possible. I love the outdoors and the beautiful Creation God has made for us to enjoy. I love to be active and involved in several different things at a time. This has proven to be a pitfall for me at times. 🙂 I love to listen to people, hear their stories, laugh and cry with them, and build them up through encouragement.
After returning home from my first race, I pursued my nursing degree and graduated in May 2011 with a BSN. I absolutely LOVE nursing and the role I play in my patient’s lives. I’ve worked on the oncology, pediatrics and cardiac units. I find such enjoyment in helping people, being there in their time of need, and offering joy, hope, and an indescribable love.
So here I go again, another race-another journey. I’m super pumped for all that God has in store for my life and W squad! W squad is a group of spirit-filled radicals on a mission to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ. We are not backing down, letting up, or giving in…we’re in this wholeheartedly.
