*Exhales* Yes Lord I can breath! After 5 long years of all nighters, last minute study sessions, pop quizzes, and tests, I made it to this moment. Yesterday morning at 10AM I walked across a stage to be recognized for my dedication and hard work.
HOWEVER, this moment is not mine alone! No No No! Not one bit! This day is for my family. It is their day. It is their day to celebrate. I congratulate them for their continuous support, motivation and love.
I reminisce on the days that I felt so overwhelmed with school. My family would encourage me to keep going, even when I wanted to give up. Endurance is what they called it. Craig have endurance!
My Dad would remind me often, that this is so much BIGGER than me. He would say “Son, you will be the first one out of your grandmothers children and grandchildren to graduate with a 4-year degree”! Humbling myself, I would say “yes sir”.
You see? This day is about so much more than myself. It’s about my whole family!
Father God, thank you for this day. You have blessed me beyond measure. Thank you for giving me the strength to finish the race. I give you honor today. My life will be of service to your kingdom. Everything I have and everything I am will be a reflection of you. Thank you JESUS for saving me! Amen
