Everyone’s been asking. Everyone’s been talking and wondering. We have 5 weeks left on the field and you can’t help but think about THAT million dollar question or possibly the most dreaded question for a racer, “what’s next?”
I’m here to ask for prayer. I’m asking that you intercede on my behalf in asking The Lord to provide, show me what He has waiting for me, and to also stay fully present as I finish this beautiful journey He has taken me on.
So, what’s next for me?
After much prayer, I have decided to attended G42 Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain.
Honestly, the thought of leaving again wasn’t appealing. I’m ready for my bed, normal clothes that don’t smell, and to be with friends and family, and do life in America.
My heart longed to be in McKinney, Texas where I had just spent the past year and half. It would feel normal and I knew I would be comfortable if I went back there. God continued to shut every door possible every time I tried to figure things out my way. (I’m sure He was just getting a good laugh because we all know His plans are way better than mine) I knew in my heart that’s not where I was suppose to go. I came on the race to get away from being comfortable, so why run straight back to it? Month 8 came and went and it was time for debrief, which meant talk of home and life after the race was in every conversation. We had a guest speaker and he went on the race, did G42, and now is working along side them with his wife. I stayed after to hear more questions and answers but had no desire to even think of it as a possibility.
The next night during worship the Lord spoke so gently these sweet words:
Just go Courtney. I have great things awaiting you..
Fine God. I’ll go but in January. I just want to be home.
No. July of this year.
What? No absolutely not.
Silence.
Okay fine, I’ll go and trust you.
So I am trusting Him. I am following where He leads me and I couldn’t be more excited!
G42 is a discipleship training school that is in partnership with the World Race. I am embarking on this adventure to be mentored and equipped to continue to pursue my dreams and see them come alive to further Gods kingdom. G42 is passionate about raising up leaders of this generation and empowering them use their talents to go to the nations. After six months, I’ll be sent out with networking, mentoring, and discipleship behind me and rooting for me as I continue to chase the dreams the Lord has placed in my heart.
Please pray about supporting me through prayer and finances. The total cost for the academy is $6,300, which will include classes, housing, and meals. All personal expenses will come out of my own budget. I have no doubt that the Lord will provide in every single way. I also know that I cannot do this without you! Whether it is through prayer or finances, I know that the Lord will use you and bless you in many ways.
