Maps, I’ve always been fascinated by them.
When I look at them, I see adventure. I see new places. I see people who are desperate to be loved. I see new roads I’ve never traveled down. I see new food. I see new cultures that haven’t been exposed completely to the world. I see rivers, valleys, oceans, and mountains. I see moments of getting lost. I see mistakes. I see accomplishments. I see failure. I see grace. I see courage. I see bravery.
Just take a look for yourself.

You always have somewhere to venture. Some new place to explore. Some people said ‘you are so brave. You have so much courage to pick up your life and leave.’
What they don’t know is: I get lost. All the time. If it wasn’t for my GPS, who knows where I’d end up.
Who knew that this is how life would be. We have all these gadgets, books, people to help us; but the main one is The Bible.
It’s the map of my life. The directions to my heart.
It’s full of adventure. Full of life. Full of failures, courage, people wanting to be loved, and people needing to be discovered. It’s full of mountains, secret roads, valleys, rivers, and oceans. It’s full of people just like you and me, awaiting to be freed and to come alive.
We all need maps in life. No matter what they are for. Some need them to travel across the world. Others, to the new friends house across town, or taking the family to the beach. We all need them. They all look different. Your map is yours. My map is mine. and that’s okay.
How amazing is it that The Lord would do that? He would give each and every one of us a very distinct map, with different roads, rivers to cross, and mountain tops to stand on. You’ll have forks in the road that I may never cross and mountain tops you’ll stand on in awe of Gods goodness. You may have roads that you can help guide me along because you’ve been there and I need a friend.
This is how the bible is in my life. It’s my map. It’s my guide to get through this crazy adventure God has me on.
So today, turn to your map. Close the ones that aren’t leading you straight towards God. Go find the perfect map for you that God is saying, “Here I am. I’m waiting for you.” Search for it and hold on tight, it’ll be the ride of your life.
This month, my team has been switched up. We have added three more girls, while the boys are doing ‘manistry month.’ We are doing Unsung Heroes, and it looks different than any other month.
We don’t get a physical map. We have to rely on The Lord to be our map and to take us down the roads and adventures He has waiting for us. We are letting Him guide us as if we are blind. Would you please join us in prayer as He opens our eyes to people who are already serving along side Him.
