This past month I’ve had an awesome opportunity to serve on an all girls team again. #TeamNoBros #TeamTenChicks
It has been a month filled with peace and serenity, faith and obedience, tears and clarity, forgiveness and grace, answered prayers and worshiping in the wait. We have loved each other well. We have challenged and encouraged one another. I caught up on the Bible reading plan (huge accomplishment), I was actually having the WANT to learn and read more about how huge and important the Gospel is, also how gracious, patient and loving our Father is.
I listened to a podcast today by Chad Veach called The Wild Gospel Called Grace, here are some of my notes from his sermon that I wanted to share.
“The Gospel is more wild than you believe it is, more relentless and outrageous than you can fathom, it’s radical and outlandish, you cannot confine the Gospel into these four walls, put it in a box, it’s beyond our understanding, it goes to the dark places, the places people don’t want to touch.
The Gospel of grace is Jesus. Grace loves us at our worst, it covers you when you fall. God doesn’t expose our failure, he covers them. Grace will always buy us back, God will always pursue, he promises freedom from our past and salvation. Grace makes no sense at all it goes beyond our understanding.”
Throughout the reading plan my mind has been blown by the stories that this book contains. These stories bring hope back into someone’s life and love into someone’s soul. The different meanings behind each verse and the different purpose for each book placed in the Bible. It’s been cool connecting the dots and realizing that no matter how many times I read a book or story I will always learn something different each time. It’s all apart of the mystery.
In a few days we are off to debrief in Sophia. We will have a few days reunited with our squad then we are off to Africa!!
