This is month two of me pioneering this “Lead Content Manager” position with AIM.. my views on blogging has changed drastically over the last 5 months.
Month one blogging was stressful to me, I never thought my stories were good enough for the world race blog life. I think I blogged twice the whole month?
Month two dani came into our lives on S-Squad and helped us believe that blogging twice a week was possible.
Blogging is simply another platform to tell people what you’re learning while on the field, what the Lord is teaching you in your soul and what your teammates are teaching you.
You can write about that sick adventure day you had going to waterfalls or island hopping or hanging with elephants.
It’s a way to share the gospel with friends and family back home. Its a way to share the gospel with strangers too (like those people who stay up trying to find answers to life on google…)
Blogging can be a place to share a story on a healing you witnessed or sharing a story of someone coming to Christ and their story or simply sharing what you packed in your bag for the year.
I want to remind you of something, it’s something we tend to forget about: Imagination and Voice
I heard this in a podcast by Erwin McManus:
“You were imagined by God so you could imagine, created by God so you could create, designed by God to be the most unique species he has ever created on this planet. Ants create any hills, bees create honey, humans create futures. You are designed by God to imagine the invisible and go translate it into reality.”
With that said, what’s holding you back from imagining? From creating?
Your voice is powerful. The Lord SPOKE us into existence.
Do you have a unique voice?
Do you have something to say?
Have you given up your voice and become an echo, have you lost your voice and simply become part of the noise?
Know this:
The voice of God will always call you to more, that you have value, that you’re significant and irreplaceable.
Become a writer, it’s in all of us.
Believe me, English was my WORST subject in school, I hated writing because I never thought I was “good” at it. But I’ve come to realize that once I find the stories the Lord wants me to tell, he will give me the words. Believe in the voice God gave you.
So step up, give the world two stories a week to bring kingdom to earth, to share Jesus’ light and love with the world. Is HE not worth it?
You were to Him.
