Hi everybody and welcome to my life update in preparation for the race!!
First, Lent started this week and I chose to give up talking on the phone and listening to the radio while driving. I am in the car for about 5-6 hours a week (typically) and this time has been able to be used as a quiet time for me. Over the past few days I have been singing while worshiping! Yes, with the radio off, loud, only in your car kind of singing!! Being able to sing and talk with God with complete silence has been able to bring some of the OLD camp songs that I haven’t though about in years back to my mind. Yes, the ones with the hand motions too! (I might look crazy when you are parked next to me at a red light!) God is definitely moving in my life on a daily basis through these quiet times and worship!

Second, I have been beyond blessed with friends and family! I actually came across a verse this week talking about how God will provide.
Philippians 4:19- And my God will supply all your needs according to HIS riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
I have trusted in the Lord to provide for this trip! Yes, I understand that based on the American dream $16,254 is a CRAZY amount of money! It has now only been two weeks since I started the fundraising process and I am already up to 10%!! How GREAT is GOD?… to me this makes me confident that with God all things are possible. I have been completely blown away and humbled by God’s plans for my fundraising experience so far!
Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to support me financially. I only have $14,610 left to go which to me is a HUGE deal! AND I couldn’t have made it this far without YOUR help! There are a few ways you can give and to prevent reposting check out the How can YOU Help? blog.
I am asking that you’d PRAY FOR ME!! I’m about to experience (in 6 short months) an intense year of serving and ministry in different cultures. I’m going to need much prayer and being honest the devil has already started planting attacks here for stress, financials, and any other concern to seem like a roadblock or distraction!
