A wise man once shed some light on my life by saying that,”if something is worth doing, it is going to require sacrifice.”
The World Race is going to be my biggest sacrifice. But Jesus made the greatest sacrifice of all on the cross. The least I could do is take 9 months out of my “busy” life to serve Him. (Plus I get to see some of this rad world 🙂
I am most excited to be emerged in different cultures and to get out of my comfort zone. I was raised in a Christian home and school and have been surrounded with Christians my whole life. As important as it is to have a strong community of believers around you, it’s just as important to push yourself out of your comfort zone. That is what the race is going to be for me.
If it takes me having to give up hot showers, air conditioning, and my family and friends for 9 months so I can share the good news, then that is what I have to do. I’m risking my safety and comforts (it) for Jesus (the biscuit).
I could not be more excited to see what this next journey has in store for me.
