I wanted to
share a few quotes that I have been pondering on lately. I have been learning
so much lately and a huge amount of that is owed to the books: “When Heaven
Invades Earth by Bill Johnson
and “The Culture of Honor by Danny Silk. I will
share with you a bit by Bill Johnson’s book.

Chew on them!
Let me know if you have any thoughts about them! I’d love to hear!

“When
Heaven Invades Earth
by Bill Johnson…

Heaven is not moved simply by the needs of man.
It’s not that God doesn’t care. It was out of His great compassion that He sent
Jesus.
When God is moved by human need He
seldom fixes the problem outright; instead, He provides Kingdom principles that
when embraced correct the problems.
If God was moved solely by human need then
countries like India and Haiti would become the wealthiest nations in the
world. It doesn’t work like that. Heaven is moved by
faith. Faith is the currency of Heaven.”

*Wow, who would
have thought that God doesn’t usually FIX a problem outright but rather gives
Kingdom principles to correct the problem? I never thought of it this way, but
it is intriguing and challenging to my former way of thought. Partaking in
Kingdom principles is quite intimating but truly life giving I have found. Why
are they intimidating? Because they often seem crazy and take serious guts to
do them! They seem insane yet bring heavenly results. How can I deny a heavenly
result??? I will not! I will look like a fool for the Lord any time!

“Faith grabs hold of the reality of the Kingdom and forcefully and
violently brings it into
collision with
this natural one. An inferior kingdom cannot stand.”

*I love these
descriptive words: forcefully, violently and collision!! They are so powerful
and remind me to not back down. Reading this quote gave me such renewed
strength and reminded me not to beg but to go after what I know scripture says
is true. Sometimes push WILL come to shove and at that point I will have to
shove even harder!!!

Unbelief is anchored in what is
visible or reasonable apart from God.
It honors the natural realm as
superior to the invisible.
Unbelief is
faith in the inferior.”

*HOLY COW!!!!
“Unbelief…honors the natural realm as superior to the invisible???????? I
never thought of it this way. For those of you who REALLY know me, you will
know that fear is something that I struggle with from time to time. A lot of
the time it is completely irrational. There is a root cause and I think I have
found it!! I give more weight to the power of the enemy than I do the power of
God in times that I am fearful!! That disgusts me!!!!! I honestly am appalled
that I prefer the authority of the devil more than the authority of God at
times. I guess it’s because the enemies work tends to be more tangible since he
rules the earth. However, what I neglect to realize in those moments is that
God still has the victory over all. That means his power is superior ALWAYS, no
matter what the situation!!! I just have to fight for it. I will NOT honor the
natural realm as superior to the invisible any longer!!!

“Faith lives within the revealed will of God. When I
have misconceptions of who He is and what He is like, my faith is restricted by
those misconceptions. For example, if I believe that God allows sickness in
order to build character, I’ll not have confidence praying in most situations
where healing is needed. But, if I believe that sickness is to the body what
sin is to the soul, then no disease will intimidate me.
Faith is much more
free to develop when we truly see the heart of God as
good
.”

*Hmmm….touché!
Lord, can you please show me more of your heart?! I want more freedom to
develop and foster such faith!
