So I want to share with you a few highlights of Romania through pictures….
This was our Targu Mures Home. We were in a village area and it was absolutely beautiful!
These are my girls! I love them! We are enjoying some dessert on our ministry break.
This was the second home we were in. It is in the city of Targu Seceuisc. In Romania they consider this a “motel” but it was absolutely gorgeous! Only thing was, it was built underground so the bathrooms and bed mattresses were constantly damp. Yuck! Better that than outside though!
I just really like this picture. This is Jeremiah and Nathan out by the wheat field. It was so peaceful here.
These are some of the amazing contacts we worked with. From the left back row: Adi, Robert, Bert. From the left middle row: Joni, Nimrod, Me, Robert’s Wife Katie, Andrea (World Racer), Thomas, Anmari (World Racer), Brittney (World Racer). From the left bottom row: Gal, Christopher
Mmmm Coffee…..This was straight black coffee. It pretty much grows hair on your chest! Loved it!!
Okay, now here is a cool story! So, we were traveling back from Sfantu Gheorge, the last city we were in, and needed to get back to Bucharest so we could fly to Ireland. The way our travel plans worked out, we had a full day layover in Brasov, Romania. Because we have our huge packs, we were going to have to stay in the airport all day long and sleep there again. But, my teammate Jeremiah had some missionary friends that were living in Brasov. So, he called them up and they were like angels! They came and picked us up from the train station and took us to their home and let us drop our packs off. They then took us to Dracula’s Castle and around the city. They let us sleep in their home for free, shower, and get ready for our travel day to Ireland. It was such a blessing!!!
Courtyard of Dracula’s Castle!
Jeremiah and I couldn’t resist. After Dracula’s castle we purchased some aged Cow’s cheese from a local farmer. It was AMAZING!!! And it is so fun buying cheese from a man that actually made the cheese himself with his own cow! YES!
Brasov, Romania! Isn’t it beautiful?
After our tour of Dracula’s castle, we went out for an amazing traditional Romanian dinner before we left for Ireland. I had these cabbage rolls down below. They were my most favorite dish I had while I was there! They were so tasty!!
Well, I hope you enjoyed the pictures! I enjoyed sharing them with you 🙂 I am having a blast meeting people and helping with all types of ministries, trying new foods, etc. Thank you all again for making this possible. The Lord is teaching me so much and opening my eyes to so many things! Wow!
Love you all!
