Here I am. In Georgia, humid as all can imagine! I am here
for training camp and so far it has been awesome! I have been sleeping in my
tent, living out of a backpack, getting really sweaty and fighting away
mosquito’s. Fun times. I have been enjoying myself a lot. It’s so great to
finally have met those that are on my squad. The stressful part is that now
they are beginning the process of picking team leaders and our teams. So, to
help them out we have been doing a lot of fun team activities to see who works
well together, who has leadership qualities, and what personalities do not work
well together. One of my favorite activities was today. The directions were as
followed “Build something.” Mind you we are in the middle of the woods and
there isn’t much around. But, my amazing team and I managed to build a full on
log cabin with a pool, and latrine (bathroom hole). We also were able to
include people, a car, garden, a dog and the Holy Spirit thanks to a wonderful
magazine! Okay…I know this activity seems simple, but it was a blast having to
be so creative without hardly any instruction. Talk about thinking outside of
the box!
Love you all! More to come!
