For those that know me, I’m not much of a note taker or journal person. So this is all new to me. However I did write a few things down. There are five words that really stuck with me; understanding, knowledge, strength, prayer, and relationship.
Understanding– TC provided me with more understanding to what a disciple of God looks like.
Knowledge– TC gave me the knowledge of how to become a “fisher of men” and how one may think the world is, but it’s not.
Strength– TC provided me the strength to realize I need to change and it’s ok to change. That with God I already have the strength to move mountains.
Prayer– TC gave me the tools to help me improve in prayer. I knew heading into TC that praying was something I felt uncomfortable doing. I’m not saying that now I’m an all-star prayer, but now I have the tools to keep improving during the World Race.
Relationship– TC showed me that my relationship…with family, friends, and God are under construction, I realized that my road/path I’m travelling on is not what I thought. It wasn’t the prettiest, finest, no problem road/path, really it’s falling and breaking apart and it needs to be fixed. If I want it to be what I thought I need God help. I need him in each relationship.
There were also a few sayings and verses that I would like to share:
- You call me beyond the shore into the waves
- Don’t want the “God of last resort”
- Luke 15:11-32 (the parable of the lost son) this verse came up a couple times during TC for me
- Joel 2:13 (God looked for change on the inside, not just another outward show of remorse. He sought broken hearts, not torn garments.)
- Take authority over flesh, mind (thoughts), and worldly processions
- Friends you need to get to know: God the Spirit, who you are, and those yet to come
These are just a few things that stuck with me from are sessions during TC. Keep checking back I have a few more blogs coming this week on TC.
Until Next Time.
