Last week ended sweetly. I seem to be quite busy these days, with work, school and perparing for the World Race. At the end of last week I got to hung out a bit with my brother, Matthew. I had bus downtown to meet with my tutor and figured since I was in his neighbourhood I would stop by. We hung out talked and he helped with my intro video for WR. By the time I was leaving it was close to midnight. I walked to the bus and rode it back to my neighbourhood. I realized that my connecting bus that would take pretty much to my door step no longer runs at this time of night, the last one being 10pm. So I walked the 2.2km back home. I have done this many times before, never this late but I knew the road very well. (Mom if you are reading this, don’t freak out, I lived. And before you call me to give me a lecture finish reading the blog.) There was something nice about walking in the quit, not distracted by the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I talked with God, about everything that’s going on in my life. Every couple of minutes I would ask God for his protect because after all I am walking alone at midnight. I know that he was watching out for me because the whole time walking home there was not another person and only two cars pass me, and one of the cars that past just happen to be a cop car.

Sometimes you need to take a walk with God. I’m not saying go at midnight, but pick a time or place where you can shut everyone else out. Even if it just closing the door to your bedroom. Make it a time that’s it just you and him, something different then reading the bible or group pray.

While at church on Sunday morning I was able to witness 2 brothers and their father take their relationship with God one step further. All 3 were baptized. I am grateful to be able to witness such I wonderful event.

I would like to ask that anyone reading this to please pray for both brothers and their father and the rest of their family. I also ask that you pray for those people that maybe thinking that they want to take their relationship one step further, as my church has another baptism service coming up in April.

Until Next Time.
