Alrighty, here goes.

I am an adventurous, blonde-haired, hazel-eyed, crazy girl from Cleveland, Ohio.
I am the daughter of two unconditionally-loving, fantastic parents.  Even if they do not always understand why I want to run as far and as fast as I can, living life jumping from one crazy adventure to the next, they support me 100%.
I am an athlete.  I'd rather be outdoors than stuck inside.  I love being active and trying new and crazy sports.  Some of my favorites include volleyball and basketball, rock climbing, hiking, gau gau, and a good old fashioned game of "dunk your friends in the lake."
I am a big sister.  I've got a younger brother and sister who are so very different from me.  I love that.
I am a Sooner.  The University of Oklahoma is where it's at!  Norman has become my home the last 4 years and saying goodbye is going to be harder than I would have thought 4 years ago.  I'll be graduating with a degree in Air Traffic Management in May 2013.  Finally!
I am a lover of any and all puns.  Once I start laughing I might never stop.
I am/have some of the strangest quirks and I have no clue why.  Future teammates: prepare yourselves! 🙂
I am also a blogger as of today!  Thanks for joining me on this crazy adventure as I figure out this whole blogging thing!

I decided to come on the World Race in November of 2012 after realizing that an endless pursuit of the so-called American dream is meaningless.  While there is nothing wrong with working 9-5, supporting a family, or living in a comfortable home, I am a firm believer that there is so much more this world and my God have to offer.  God started showing me, step by step, that the path I was heading down was not going to bring eternal satisfaction.  I finally applied in February of 2013 and will be heading out January 2014.  While I know that my time preparing and going on the Race will be full of my fair share of struggles, I am so excited and so blessed to have this opportunity to go and serve, to "declare His works among the nations," and to be involved in His Kingdom work!
