This past weekend was our second Ambassador’s training camp
and an additional 71 (high school aged) participants came to Gainesville.
(Making the total over 160 between the two launches!). It was, again, a
wonderful experience to be able to meet face-to-face with the students and
parents that I have been communicating with over the past 3 months. I loved
being encouraged by enthusiastic students who are grateful for the role I
played in getting them to the mission field. It serves as a great reminder why
I sit in a cubical and answer phone calls and emails every day. I am so proud
of these kids and their willingness to follow the Lord. I know what a HUGE
impact my high school mission trip experiences have had on me and I’m privileged
to play a small part in helping these young people encounter God and the world
in a way that could change them forever.
I left Ambassador training camp early to do admissions work
at the World Race training camp in the hills of Tennessee again. It is an
incredible experience to pour into the next generation of World Races and to be
brought into the presence of the Lord in worship.
I’d like to share more about this in my next blog…
