My dad was watching a movie on TV and I heard a quote that
stood out to me. A man was asked, “So,
what’s next for you?
(A question I’ve become quite familiar with). The man
thought to himself, ‘why is there a need to have it all figured out, it rarely
goes just as we plan anyway’. Then he responded by saying, “Plan to be surprised!

Well, I’d like to say the same to all of you, however I think it comes as no surprise
that I desire to return to Kenya
. This time to work among the displaced
people in IDP camps in the valley near Rift Valley Academy. These people have
been my heart’s passion for several years now and my intercessory prayers
appear to finally be coming to fruition. I’ve pleaded with God to send someone
even if it can’t be me. I have huge Kingdom Dreams for these people and the
Lord answered with a verse from Habakkuk (Yes, that is from the OT of the
Bible). The title directly above chapter 1 verse 5 even says ‘The LORD’S
Answer’.

“Look at the nations
and watch-

and be utterly
amazed.

For I am going to do
something in your days

that you would not
believe,

even if you were
told.

So, it may come as no surprise to anyone that my heart
continues to burn for the injustice and need for change in Kenya, but I plan to
surprise everyone (even myself) by continuing to dream big
and move in the
direction of this Kingdom Dream.

So, what’s the first
step you may ask…

Adventures In Missions plans to send a team of passionately
dedicated people to this very people group that I’ve prayed for. Prior to starting
this work there are many preparations that must take place to insure the most
success. So, I would like to join the 6-month apprenticeship in Georgia with
the goal of growing and molding both me and this vision. After the 6 months in
Georgia, the team will head to Kenya for a year and a half of ministry.
