Will you please pray for Steph’s nephew, Sam?
He was born last Wednesday night weighing 5lbs, 10oz. He came 5 weeks early. He’s not doing very well.
Within
the first 36 hours of being home he lost almost 10oz of his body
weight….he’s not eating. They took him to the hospital Sunday morning
and then were able to return home.
Last night Steph’s brother Geoff called
their mom and said he’d decided they were going to the ER. Sam had eaten less
than 2 oz all day yesterday and was freezing.
When they got to
the hospital he was admitted to the NICU with a body temperature of
only 92.6! He was so dehydrated it took almost an hour to get an IV in
him. Ashley (Sam’s mother) couldn’t watch, so Geoff Stayed with him. When Geoff came out of the room he was in tears…
They were
eventually able to successfully give Sam saline and then a sugar
solution to get some calories in him. The highest they’ve been able to
bring his temperature up is to 95. Geoff just texted and said there is
still concern over him not being able to hold his body temperature and
also he has a bad case of jaundice.
Thank you for your prayers for Sam and also for Geoff and Ashley.
LET’S BE BOLD!
My prayer is that baby Sam is filled with the warmth of God’s
love, His living water and His light. I’m also praying for the doctors
to have God’s wisdom and discernment. And for Geoff, Ashley, Stephanie
and the rest of Sam’s family to be filled with the peace of God which
surpasses all understanding. I have no doubt that God will heal this
little boy. Please help me cover this family in prayers!
