I am arrogant.
I tend to think I am better than the next person.
I let the idea of my inadequacy consume my soul… to the point of no return.
I tell myself day after day that the cross did not cover me.
That The Lord’s overwhelming love stops when I run.

I flee Him day after day yet He consumes my soul.
With every new morning He reminds me of His faithfulness.

In the past weeks I’ve learned the beauty of vulnerability.
I’ve been surrounded by complete strangers who have been pouring into me simply because of the message of the cross.
Simply because The Lord has called us to be in community.
And let me tell you that it is stretching.
It is hard.
Yet so rewarding.

When you are pouring your soul, and your thoughts, and your struggles, you all of a sudden have accountability.
You have a group of people running the same race making sure that that you have not fallen past the point of no return.
I find so much beauty in the fact that we are not alone.
Not only do we have The shaker of mountains living inside our soul but He’s been gracious enough to place people of the same hearts to walk thorough life with.

So why did I just tell you all of my weaknesses?
Because this past week I’ve learned the value of being vulnerable.
I’ve learned that it is so much more rewarding following Christ by coming together, sharing struggles, and encouraging each other.

My inadequacy is a lie.
The idea that the cross has no room for my slip ups is a bold faced lie from the enemy.
I am free from the guilt, from the condemnation, and without a doubt The Lord is good.
He is faithful.
He is great.
He will never let us slip through the cracks.
And through that I find freedom.
I find renewal for my soul, mind, and body.
And I pray that you find that freedom as well.
