Can I just start off by saying, I’m writing my last recap blog of my race and it feels super weird. This month was straight up amazing. Yea..yea.. I know I say that every month, but it was, in its own way. This month we partnered up with Vision Nicaragua. We had an awesome team of hosts. There was Ron and his wife Marty, Mario, and three super cool interns, Daniel, Cassie and Lauren. This month we did a little bit of everything. We painted some of the buildings at the mission house and we worked with a short-term team for a week. During that week we did house visits, children’s ministries, homeless ministry, and shared God’s word in villages. We also got to hangout in their main ministry village (Bethel) with kids and got to know some of the teen/young adults there too. This month was busy but we were also blessed with a lot of down time to soak up all that the Lord has for us in this season as we end the race.
I’m thankful I was able to get to know Cassie, Lauren and Daniel really well this month. We really seemed to connect well and had a lot of fun this month. I loved being able to hangout with them during ministry time and in our down time. I can see God doing some really awesome things in each of their lives and I’m thankful that they were a part of my journey on the race. God has placed some really amazing people in my life this year and I hope that I can keep in touch with them as our journeys continue.
Vision Nicaragua has their hand in a lot of different villages surrounding them. They also help with a lot of medical need for families in the communities and have an onsite clinic. The staff that work at the mission house are all so amazing and have such servants hearts.
On our off days we were able to go watch a soccer game, a baseball game, visit one of the tourist cities, go volcano boarding, go to a water park, see ice age in Spanish, and just hangout and play games almost every night. I’ve learned that spending time with the people around you is one of the best ministries you can do. The lord has given me a passion to love people well and this month I had the perfect opportunity to love my hosts well.
This month the Lord has taught me that he has me in His hands and I don’t even have to worry about what’s next. As I prepare for this next season I’m holding tight to him and his faithfulness. I can say confidently that He is constant through every season no matter how hard it gets.
Please join me in lifting up my teammates and the rest of Z Squad as we are all preparing for all the awesome things God has next for us.
Everyone is handling “the end” differently but I’m praying that we can end strong and have immense peace going into this next season, whatever that may be.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Until next time!
