Heading into the bush Channele and I decided to call that weekend, 'The Shack.' Having time with Papa while in the middle of nowhere Africa.

I'd been craving more time with Papa and desperately needed to hear His voice again. I was ready for the Shack.

First night in the bush, Jordan and I head outside to go to the bathroom and brush our teeth before bed. I'm alone outside minding my own business when I look up…. Speechless. Indescribable. Awestruck Wonder filled my soul. Theres just something Holy about it. I was so overcome with the beauty and holiness of what I was looking at. Numberless. Brighter than I've ever seen before. Stars! Everywhere! Almost bringing me to my knees. I knew immediately I was in the presence of Papa. I haven't felt Him like that since Nairobi, Kenya.

I started talking out loud to Papa (if people would have seen me they'd think I was crazy) asking Him questions and just sharing my heart with Him. He talked to me a lot in those few days, through literal words, visions and dreams. He refueled me to keep going. We met every night under one of the most beautiful and indescribable parts of His creation. His night sky.

He manifested Himself in different ways that weekend from newborn babies, children and different areas of His creation. I saw and heard Papa all weekend and I came back stronger and more confident in what He has for me.

I encourage you to find your Shack. A place where you're away from everything and everyone else, listening and talking to Papa. He's inviting you to come and be with Him in His Shack. Will you go?

You can kiss your family and friends goodbye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you. – Frederick Buechner
