While we were in Phnom Penh for a day before crossing into Vietnam. That afternoon I went to lunch with my dear brother Jake. Jake took me to this coffee shop called Daughters. Now I'd been hearing many great things about this place and what they do. It's a wonderful ministry that takes women and lady boys out of brothels, off the streets and out of the horrible world of human trafficking.
I know how the America mind works so let me clarify a bit with you…. These women, child and lady boys do not want to be doing what they do! It is not a choice 98% of the time! It is something they're
born into
sold into
tricked into
they're literally chained to it
seeing no way out
No hope for their lives!
Don't judge them, don't look down on them, don't punish them and don't think you're better than them!! Harsh words, aren't they? Try thinking about how they feel when you look at them, when you talk about them and when you think horrible things about them! They're just as much children of the most high God as you are! I know that I'm sounding harsh but this is something that happens in America too and we do look down on them. Think before you judge. Pray before you judge.
This ministry brings them out of that shows them a better way of life while sharing the love of Christ with them. Giving them life skills such as cooking, sowing, massage therapy and retail in their gift shop, cafe/restaurant, spa, and dress making shop.
The anointing
of the Lord was
all over that place!
The presence
of God was so
thick you could touch it.
I walked into the building and was ready to fall to my knees, I was so overcome with emotion!! We sat down to order and I read about the ministry and broke down on poor Jake. God gave me something new to dream about.
What has He given you to dream about?
