Friday and Saturday were our “fun days.”
Friday after the dump (see pervious blog) we went to the Mayan Ruins. I LOVE History so for me this was extremely EPIC! (I have to throw that word in every once in a while for my family and friends back home LOL) I LOVED learning about where they came from and how old these Ruins are. This particular site was around before Jesus time around 100 B.C. and the city was invaded 1524 A.D. and the killed every person. It was so cool for me to see things still standing after such a long period of time…. Like BEFORE Jesus….that just blows my mind!!! Anyways we all had a great time learning about the Mayan people!

Saturday morning we were up at 4 am!! (hard to believe right) We were meeting 4 other teams (SO GOOD TO SEE OUR SQUAD MATES AGAIN!) to go Hang Gliding about 3 hours away. When we got there we were told that it was too windy to hang glide so we went Zip lining instead and man was it worth the trade!! I’d never been before! For me it was a really great time to just be in God’s creation and feel his presence all around. Zipping through all these trees, waterfalls and just GREEN everyone…. So hard to describe how MAJESTIC it was!!

Oh Happy Day by Tim Hughes
The greatest day in history, Death is beaten
You have rescued me
Sing it out Jesus is alive
The empty cross, The empty grave
Life eternal You have won the day
Shout it out Jesus is alive
He's alive
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed
When I stand, in that place
Free at last, meeting face to face
I am Yours Jesus You are mine
Endless joy, perfect peace
Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive
He's alive
Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious way
That You have saved me
Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious name
