Where do I even begin? Camp changed my life forever. I experienced God in a whole new way! In ways I didn’t even know were possible. If I had only one word to describe training camp it would be – INDESCRIBLEABLE. I don’t want that fire to be put out. TC prepared me for what I will come in contact with…. physically, emotionally and spiritually. One that I can’t get out of my head was about how to interact and share the Gospel with Refugees. I can’t share more because of future Racers reading my blog….but I’d love to share in person : ) Never did I think about this or how to minister to these people. God broke my heart in a whole new way!
All teams went out and prayed together then went out on the town; letting God direct our paths. We started at a flea market (this is the short version) and ended up meeting this wonderful Godly woman named Sandi. What a huge blessing this woman was to our team! She was definitely sent by God to us that day. She prayed with us and is now following our blogs : ) Hi Sandi! : ) We ended up at a nursing home that day. We asked the head nurse for a list of patients who needed a joyful lift, healing or the ones who NEVER get visitors. We split up into 3 teams of 2 with a list of names and room numbers. Liz and I went into Connie’s room. She receives no visitors and she was very depressed. She lite up when we walked in; we prayed with her first and then just visited with her. She cried a lot and we prayed and talked a lot. Liz and I left in tears….
It taught us so much about ministry and the love of the Father. God has broken everyone’s heart for something different…. For you it might look like going to the nursing home and visiting the residents, feeding the homeless, going to foreign countries, teaching the children, supporting missionaries ect. ALL are so important to Christ and the people you are loving and ministering to. I’m so grateful for all of YOU whatever your ministry may look like because everyone can’t do everything. We are commanded to go to ALL the nations which starts where you live… if it weren’t for y’all here spreading the gospel there wouldn’t be a point in others like me going to other nations. THANK YOU for stepping up here so that I can stand for Christ around the World. I NEED your help, partner with me in this journey to furthering God’s Kingdom.
I NEED YOU PRAYFULLY, SPIRITUALLY AND FINANCHIALLY!
