After a Saturday morning boat ride, and subsequent river swimming, our team loaded up on our bicycles and spent the afternoon hours doing home visits to believers and many of pastor Virack’s church body. Our first stop was at a bunch of six huts situated underneath some mango trees. This entire community is Christian, and also very poor. After we sang them a song and prayed over them we took a walk around, and Virack explained that the land we were on is his land that he gave as an offering to the Lord five years ago and (along with help and finances from foreign visitors) built every one of those huts for those families to live in.

Another one of our visits was with a 16 year old boy named Saul who plays the drums at church on Sunday. Saul is the only believer in his family and gets a lot of grief and complaints from his family for his faith in Christ. This became a very common bond shared among the people we visited. In fact, there are a number of people who use to attend church but have quit coming because of the pressure from their Buddhist relatives. However, it gave them great hope and reassurance to have the five foreigners visiting them personally in their homes, and it gave us a great opportunity to release the power of the Holy Spirit into new spaces, houses, and individuals.

The day was long, hot, and grueling…but fantastic.  Sorry for the graphic image of my feet, I just thought I should share what one afternoon in the village does to a persons body:)
