I was born a California girl and raised in the Great Northwestern corner of the country…a little gem known as “the Palm Springs of Washington” (we have a rusty old sign to prove it) to the rest of the world, but named Yakima by our Native American friends.  When I turned 18 I headed off to Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech.  I fell in love with the South…mainly Hot-lanta, and was very sad to say goodbye when the time came…don’t tell my heart, but I still hold out hope of returning some day.

I don’t ‘live life on the edge’ but every now and again I’ll jump off a cliff.  This journey will definitely be a large cliff.  I am a follower of Christ striving to live every day passionately for his purposes; to love and forgive, empower and embrace, and suck the marrow out of this short life:)

After graduating with a Business Mgt. degree from Georgia Tech I interned at an on campus ministry. Immediately following that I did a 2 month internship in Kenya, returned and searched for work in WA (unsuccessfully) for 5 months, and then packed up my car and moved to Oklahoma City to live with family and try my luck here.  I worked in H.R. for a company for one year before returning for a second 2 month trip to Kenya…which is where I met some World Racer’s and found out about this whole shebang (that is the technical term right?).                                                                                                                                   I love the color blue, chocolate, and can rival a small town in coffee consumption.  I like the idea of being a person who cooks their meals but have yet to muster up the will to actually become such person.  I like to read and have recently discovered the magical ability of an audio book to turn a long, dreadfully boring drive through middle America into a pleasant little road trip.

Things I love:

House, Dirty Jobs, Community

Pumpkin spice flavored food & drink

Long walks with my ipod and wandering mind

late nights & early mornings…separately
