Training camp brought many things. From the amazing worship to being shown again and again that Christ is my provider; I kept being reminded that God really does have the best for me.

Training camp also brought along with it a new route. >>GET PUMPED<<

Many of the countries are still the same but the countries in Africa got switched and instead of going to Thailand I am now going to Vietnam.

This is my new route:

Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Ukraine, Romania, India, and Nepal.

So here’s the funny thing. Before I applied for the World Race, I told God that I was cool with giving a summer to do missions [God obviously had other plans for me: 11 months, yikes!]. Last summer I was applying to go to Swaziland, because I really left like that’s where God was calling me. But the day I was supposed to complete my application, my mom had to have surgery that was pretty short notice. Long story short, I wasn’t able to finish it and didn’t feel like it was the right time to leave my family.

However, I still really felt like God was calling to go to Swaziland.

After all this happened, the World Race came up [you can read the whole story in my blog post “Google [How I was called to the WR].” I really felt like God was calling me to apply to the second route, V squad. Which didn’t really make sense because I felt like I was called to go to Swaziland and God had started to lay Vietnam on my heart. I saw that South Sudan was on the route and thought that would be a pretty stinking cool place to go.  I also loved how this route went to Europe. So yeah, I decided to go with it because I just felt this attraction to the V squad route.

Well, as you probably already guessed, when they told us we had a route change and then listed the countries, I about had a heart attack. Like no stinkin way! I couldn’t believe that our route had switched a bit and though I am sad I’m not going to Thailand or South Sudan, I am so flipping pumped I get to go to Vietnam and Swaziland now.  God is the greatest. BA-BAM!

At training camp, I also found out my team for the next 11 months.

I am so excited that I get to serve with these five for the next year and can’t wait to see what God is going to do while we travel and serve.

I really didn’t think it was possible to love five complete strangers so quickly, but I really do. I may be slightly biased but they truly are the greatest.

Yesterday, I received an email that contained the date of launch and when we’ll be flying out of the country.

September 7th is when I arrive in Atlanta for launch and then on the 10th I’ll be flying out with my squad as we head to the Philippines.

I still need $3,942 to meet my next deadline in November and $8,442 to be fully funded. I completely believe that if God wants me on this trip He will completely provide but I really can’t do it alone. Any amount is SO appreciated and I am also so thankful for any prayer.

Huge thanks to everyone who has already supported me, you all are really a blessing!
