She stops by when she's feeling good-
Runs away when she's not.
When she's not here I miss her.
The way she fights is incredible.

Its like something else; someone else empowers her.
She runs when she doesn't feel empowered.

Sometimes she gets tired of fighting a battle.
Too often she forgets the battles already won.

She hasnt come around as often lately.
She wonders if fighting is all she's meant for,
or if there's more.

There are chinks in her armor..
and she's too ashamed to get them refined,
because it shows the marks of defeat.

Punch after punch,
strike after strike,
The adversary always moves the same way.

She knows this.
She knows his tricks; his approach.
So cunning.

Lately she just takes the blow.
She knows the way to defeat him,
but can't find the strength to lift her arms for the hundredth time.

But accepting defeat is not noble,
and so she beats herself up for losing her bite,
which only invokes more blows.

I can see that she's tired-
but not the way you'd think.
Fighting is exhausting, but then again,
every time she fights she grows stronger.

Shes back!
Shes approaching in the distance!
And she looks equipped.

Looks like she remembered she's a daughter of the King
and a slave to righteousness.

In her heart of hearts she resolves to know defeat no more.
