Every few weeks we’re given different little “challenges” to blog about. The most recent one was to do with miracles on the field. Being that I haven’t left yet this one obviously didn’t really apply to me. However, I thought I’d change it up a little bit and show some “mini miracles” at home in our ordinary lives. Some of the people I know and some are complete strangers! Regardless of who they were though, they all had strawberries!
I honestly do think that God sends us our little miracle strawberries everyday to show us that joy can come in any form.
After making this video I realized another thing…
Some of the questions people ask me most about are…”Won’t you miss your bed?” “How will you go that long without your phone?” “Will you be able to watch tv?” “What about showers?” “What about clean water?”
The truth is, yes, I’ll miss all of those things greatly. I’ll also miss every other worldly object and activity that I use or partake in on a daily basis. However, as you can see not one person said their greatest moment, otherwise known as their strawberry, was to do with any of these things. Their strawberries were more often than not small, simply things that are often over looked. A hug or a smile from one of God’s lost children will be far more cherished than any 2 hour television session I’d be having at home.
I can’t say that I will be 100% happy every second of the race but I can say that I will be living simply and with simple things come great joy!
