Hello everyone!
So it’s been a while since I have blogged or updated anything/one about my trip and I am extremely sorry for that! Life has been pretty crazy lately though. Being that I just graduated high school. I’ve been trying to take in all the lasts of a lot of things and enjoying all the memory making moments with everyone before we all go our own ways in the fall! It has been a truly amazing first couple weeks of summer, however, I slightly lost track of everything for my trip during it all!
So this past Tuesday, I decided I was going to wake up and catch up with everything to do with the trip and blog and all that good stuff. But, I opened my blog page, drew a blank of what to write about, and then quickly gave up on it all. So I closed my computer, and decided to instead, start training to run another half marathon. The run started out great! I quickly fell into my slow 7 minute and 45 second pace and was enjoying clearing my head when at about a mile and a half a stroller was coming towards me so I decided I’d cross the street and give her that side walk. While doing so I stepped on a rock. I heard a Velcro type noise but figured it was the rock and my foot hurt a little but I decided to suck it up and keep going. Hahahah, joke! Basically my next step caused me to fall on my face and I had to crawl to a shaded area until my lovely mother (THANK YOU LORD FOR HER) came and picked me up in the car. I wasn’t going to go to the doctor but had gone to a friends house that night and her parents happen to both be foot doctors.(obviously God set that up) So there I was asking Mr. Wahl (Great guy) to take a quick look at my foot and he laughs a little and tells me that the fast swelling and bruising obviously shows something it wrong and tells me to come in the next day so I abide by his request and it turns out I entirely ripped my ligaments off my bone! How fantastic is that? Most people would likely be extremely mad because now part of my summer I’ll have a glamorous(yeah I bedazzled it, so it really is glam!) boot on my foot. But here I am, laughing because I know it was God who did this! I was getting side tracked and constantly going out with friends and to graduation parties and all this stuff and totally putting him and this trip on the back burner! So he didn’t slap me in the face, instead he conveniently placed a small rock in the road for me to step on. So barely mobile me is pretty much on work and bed rest with no other choice but to blog and watch movies! God is crazy but you gotta love him!
Until the next post,
Love and Blessings,
Court!
