If you don’t believe in God, why fight to prove he isn’t real? The believers, like myself, think that once someone believes they are saved. But if you don’t believe and convince others not to, what is the reward for not believing? What do you get? Self-satisfaction?
If you are not a believer what exactly do you live for? Do you just live for life? But if that’s the case what’s the point if once you die you are simply dead, no longer existing. Meaning everything you strived so hard to achieve in your life is merely gone and had no real meaning really to begin with.
If you’re a non-believer what is the meaning of your very existence? To better the world, to change it, to invent something? Why does any of that matter though if all we do, according to you, is live and die?
And lastly if don’t believe what do you base your morals off of? If there is no Heaven and there in no Hell, why even have morals? Without there being a heaven or a hell there is no reward or punishment after you die for your wrong or right doings? Therefore, there’s no point for a non-believer to have any morals. Because if once you’re dead that is it, then why does it matter if you spend your life doing good or doing bad?
Maybe the underlying, unsaid thought/feeling non-believers aren’t expressing is that they actually hate God! They don’t not believe in him, but instead they hate him so much that they try to convince themselves as well as others that he isn’t real. It’s like not liking a person. If someone did something terrible to you, you’d possibly hate them. You’d maybe wish they weren’t alive, or that people wouldn’t be their friend. You’d try to warm others of the pain they caused and steer people away from them. So what if that’s what the so called “non-believers” really are doing and feeling? Perhaps they lost a loved one, or someone is sick that they know or their life just isn’t the perfect that they want it to be. Maybe they don’t understand that even when you pray and pray for a happy ending, sometimes God has to say no. So maybe, no one is an atheist but instead hates God so much that they try to erase him from their thoughts and memory, as well as prevent others from seeing him. After all, the most well-known and strongest atheists, all used to be Christians.
In conclusion, I’m a non-believe of atheists!
