I have now been on the race for 2-1/2 months.
Everything is being tested. From my beliefs in the Holy Spirit, my patience with my teammates that I am constantly surrounded by, to my stomach when it eats the local food.
I have thoughts of leaving and going to Bali. Staying there for 9 months and meeting my team there for their final debrief.
That would be too easy though.
I am here for the Journey. With any Journey comes challenges, growth, joy, triumphs, struggles. All things you wouldn’t fully get by remaining stagnant. Things that you would miss without a journey.
God’s peace is upon me every step of the way. Each step of the Journey I am comforted no matter the situation. Even if that situation is being sick for 3 days in a row and leaving your phone in a cab.
So as I sit in a coffee shop in Kars, Turkey and write this to you, it’s only another part of my journey.
Just remember that any destination worth traveling to will have a long journey. And that journey will be a long haul.
So Choose to be in it.
It will be worth it in the end.
