This month, our ministry has fallen into a nice routine. Drag myself out of bed, make oatmeal, homeschool classes with our contacts’ kids, lunch at a local restaurant, paint at the center, cook dinner, and then watch Scandal or The Office. We get a few games of UNO in as well.
We also have occasional days like last Saturday, when I tidied up our space, went grocery shopping, and then hit some golf balls at a driving range with our contact’s son. The best part – driving a golf cart with Kelsey and Anna! (Rented for a steal at 35 Ringgit, or less than $9!)
What a weird life!
All of this is done in an incredible setting. The mountains in the town where we live, visible from our 2nd story window, are spectacular! They are often covered with mist in the mornings and we’ve heard that seeing the sun set over them is amazing.
But I’m getting myself sidetracked.
I wanted to show y’all what’s come out of our hard work over the past two weeks. We’re already more than halfway through our time in Malaysia – with quite a bit left to do – but it has been awesome to see a little more progress every day!
Chicka chicka boom boom!

We’ve painted two full walls, a wave across a third, and spent a lot of time on a ladder painting the trim and beam! (This tree was the only thing on the walls when we got here.)
