I have been putting off the start of fundraising and raising support for a while now because it is the part I am least excited about. I am praying God will do amazing things during this part of the process.
Above anything else, I would like to ask for you to partner with me in prayer throughout this entire journey, both before I leave and while I am there. I am not exactly sure what to expect, but I know that I am going to be stretched and pulled out of my comfort zone, which will lead me to be more dependent on the Lord. I ask for prayer for the Lord to give me peace and strength during those moments. For God to work through my team. For it to feel like family where we can be open and vulnerable with one another. For God to provide for us in every way. For us not to forget why we are doing the world race and not forget who called us to it. To remember our identity. To prepare our hearts and the hearts of those we will come in contact with. To be always listening for God to speak and be willing and ready to say yes when He does. To soften hearts to hear the gospel. For lives to be changed because of Jesus. Personally, I will need prayers, for when I get scared and when I start to worry about raising enough money or my family back home, for God to comfort me and be reminded that He never leaves me and that I am being obedient by doing this.
I would also like to ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me financially. The $15,000 that needs to be raised for this journey is extremely daunting. But the Lord has called me to this and I believe He will provide for it. One of the main ways I am praying for the Lord to provide is through support letters. I have written my letter and am beginning to address envelopes. If you would like a letter, or know anyone who would, please let me know. I am planning on selling t-shirts and doing some other fundraisers later on as well and will let you know when those happens.
