This is a bit overdue..

Celebrating my birthday in Cambodia was awesome!  While I missed my family and friends back home, the usual icecream birthday cake from DQ and the suprise random adventure brought on by my besties, my new friends on the race made me feel so loved!

As keeping with our birthday tradition back home we started the celebration a little before midnight on the 27th and welcomed in the start of the day for March 28th! It was so fun!  I had team debriefs in the morning, notes and gifts from fellow squadmates throghout the day and then took off with my team to get massages and food!  It was a great day!

I would also like to say thanks to all my supporters back home for the emails and facebook messages!  I thought another year older would be tough, but everyone made it quite the celebration!  No matter your age, God has lessons he wants to teach you!  Philippians 1:6 says that "He who began a good work in you will be faithful to carry it on to completeion in Christ Jesus"

Years go by fast. Time flies when you're having fun..and in order to have true fun, you need to find your joy, peace, hope, and identity in Jesus.  He's the author and perfector of your faith!  I"m reminded of the verse that inspired me to get going on this race–Hebrews 12:1-2.  Let's run the race, throwing off all that sin that hinders and run with endurance the race marked out for us! As Christians our job is to bring God's Kingdom to wherever He has us.  Traveling the world or behind the desk (shout out to my sister who totally rocks!) let your light shine!

I remember thinking as I was getting ready to get on the race..if I can just make it to my birthday I'll be okay!  haha!  Well it's come and gone and I am savoring these last few months.  I am enjoying the journey, fighting homesickness, but loving the adventure with Jesus!  Never let fear hold you back, if I had let my fear tackle me  I would be missing out on all of the blessings God had waiting for me.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths!
