Santos Santos Santos! Holy holy holy! One of the highlights of my day is waking up early to be with my Savior! It is during these moments I am able to rest and listen to His voice. He has been revealing many things to me and with the help of feedback from teammates I am working on being more and more Christlike. Get chiseled at is never fun or comfortable, but it is necessary! As I have been reflecting on last month I would like to share one of my favorite moments! One morning around 530am as I was sitting out enjoying the sunrise I heard music coming from the beach hut (the main building on the compound). FriendShips had a group using their property for the weekend and they were up early! I felt the Spirit prompting me to go down..i'ts early, quite a hike down, and I still have bed head so of course I protested! He prompted again..so to save myself the argument I checked my hair, thought "this is as good as it gets" and went down to the hut. The entire way down I was praying and thinking OK I'm going now what? Am I just gonna barge in and say I'm here! Ha ha! No, I'm still kinda shy! So as I neared the building I saw Oscar a good friend that works at FriendShips and he asked if I wanted to sit in on the rally and I said yes!!! As I approached the group I realized it was a youth group!
So cool! 30-40 teens worshiping the Lord that early in the morning! Of course as I looked closer some were sitting in the back not exactly into it and I thought of my teens back home how I have seen that exact experssion before, and how I wish they could be with me there! I started praying for the teens in front of me with passion for their souls! I prayed for my teens back home and realized how similar these two groups are. How they deal with similar things and how Satan is such a bully constantly attacking them. I loved seeing the leaders of the group up walking around and praying for their teens throughout the entire morning. The message was brought by a young guy on 1 Tim 4:12 I couldn't understand most if it, but I did understand his passion for them to stand for Jesus, to live by the Spirit, and not shrink back in fear! A prayer warrior came up after and began praying over the teens and then the leaders, but it wasn't like anything I experienced! There was speaking in tongues, some of the teens and most of the leaders were crying out, dancing, jumping, falling to the ground, and a calling out for more of the Spirit! Santo! I was so speechless! They sang a song that day called Enamorame! Oscar told me it is a love song asking the Lord to make me fall in love with you, bring me into intimacy, pursue me, let Your presence change me, flood me, transform me. It was so awesome to see teens singing that song! I am in awe of the way God is at work and I know he is at work in my teens back home as well! Lord I pray right now for my teens and those reading this that you would fill them with the stirring of your Spirit to be more obedient to Your voice! To step out of fear knowing you are worth it! Knowing you will be there to guide and direct! I pray for the souls of the teens all around the world those I know back home, those I've met so far, and those I will be meeting in the upcoming months. Protect them. Give them wisdom and a hunger for You and only You! Help them to remain strong when the storms come! Protect their purity and guard their hearts. Help them find their worth in you! That they are so worth dying for! Give them Your size dreams! Things they can only accomplish with You as their strength! Bless them indeed! Open wide their horizons! May there be a stirring in the upcoming generation to have complete abandonment and a passion to spread Your Good News! Right now as Halloween is today I pray protection! Send Your Angels and do not let satan get a foothold through any of the activities they may be involved in. Please protect them! All of this I pray over me as well! Guide me and give me wisdom! Give me the courage to dive deeper in my relationships with teammates and the perserverece to run this race! I love you! In Jesus Name AMEN!
