Just wanted to share with everyone a quick story that has happened over the past  month or so. A few weeks ago, I was working in the drive-thru at the pharmacy. A woman picking up her prescription noticed my green wristband and quickly asked about it. After explaining it was a means of raising support for a mission trip I'm going on, she surprisingly told me she was going to park and come inside the store to talk to me.

The woman left me her address and told me to send her a letter. So I sent her my standard support letter a few days later, and honestly didn't think about it much after that. In fact, I completely forgot I even sent her a letter. That is, until I received THIS letter in the mail today (it's unlikely anyone reading this would know her, but I'm leaving her name anonymous):

Dear Conner:

I just want to let you know that I am impressed with your mission trip plans and with Adventures in Missions. I visited the website and appreciate the information I found there. The beliefs are the same as the doctrine we follow, so my husband and I are eager to support you. I firmly believe that the Holy Spirit put me in the frame of mind to notice your wristband, ask about it, and come back to give you my address. When the Holy Spirit leads me to act, I try very hard to obey!

I am copying the check I am sending today for your information. We want to be one of your supporters who pledge $35/month for the year and are sending the $420 in one check. May God be with you in your endeavors, may you gain joy from your service, and may those you serve learn about Christ's love and accept his GRACE.

The closer the days get to me leaving, I get more and more confirmation from God that this is exactly what I am supposed to do. This whole thing started with a kind woman's mere curiosity of a green wristband on a complete strangers wrist. He never ceases to amaze me by the many different ways he can reveal himself, and this is just another example. God is alive, and he is active in this world in the big things and the small. I am blessed to have seen and been a part of a little thing God did, a little thing that has the potential to change lives around the world.

As of right now, I am nearly halfway to my ultimate goal of $15,500! Thank you for those who have continually been praying for me and my team (whom I will finally meet in person VERY soon) and for those who have supported me financially. Your blessings are felt more than you know!
